‘Long live Belarus’: FEMEN welcomes Lukashenka in Kyiv

Three FEMEN activists have been arrested for holding an action of protest against Lukashenka’s official visit to Ukraine.

At midnight the girls carrying torches came to the place where the Belarusian leader was staying. They were chanting ‘Long live Belarus’, ‘Europe’s last dictator’ and had slogans ‘Lukashenka must die’, ‘F*ck dictator’, etc on their bodies. The protest action was stopped by Ukranian riot police.

‘FEMEN reminds Lukashenka the wild brutal harassment of FEMEN activists by the KGB in Gomel in the forests in the 2011. FEMEN reminds Lukashenka about beaten and repressed Belarusian heroes who called to fight against Lukashenka’s dictatorship. FEMEN can’t stand the President Yanukovych for his friendship with garbage like Lukashenka that breaks the European course of development for Ukraine. FEMEN fights for overthrowing Lukashenka, the last dictator of Europe for free Belarus without dictatorship, prisons and deaths!’ the organisation’s press release says.

FEMEN is a scandalous organization of topless women activists aiming at sexual and social equality in the world. They cast themselves as ‘sextremists serving to protect women’s rights, democracy watchdogs attacking patriarchy, in all its forms: the dictatorship, the church, the sex industry’.
