Belsat TV and film representation in Prague


Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy, Belsat TV director, will be a distinguished guest at the meeting “Belsat TV and Civil Society Formation in Belarus” which is organised by the Polish Institute in Prague and Czech NGO “Člověk v tísni” (People in Need).

The meeting is to be held on March 20, 2013 in the conference hall of the Polish University in Prague. Petruška Šustrová, one of the most renowned Czech dissidents of 80s and press secretary of Charter’77, is also expected to take part in the meeting. After the collapse of communism she became Deputy Minister of Interior; at the moment she is engaged in translation activities along with social and political journalism. Ms Šustrová is Honorary President of NGO “Civic Belarus”.

The participants are about to touch on the topic of the first night of film Viva Belarus which is to take place in the frames of international film festival Febiofest.

The program of the meeting:

17:00 – showing Belsat’s documentaries: “Fear in a Peaceful Land”, directed by Karsiaryna Bortnik, 2012, 43 minutes; Death Penalty, directed by Siarhei Isakau, 2012, 34 minutes.

18:00 – discussion with Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy and Petruška Šustrová
