Eurovision-2013: Lanskaya opts for another song

It was picked out from all proposed songs (“Solayoh”, “I’m alive”, “Kiss me” and “Rhythm of love”) by the judging panel including representatives of Belteleradiocompany and producing centre Spamash.

The authors of the song are Marc Peling and Martin King. It was recorded in British studio Abbey Road.

“The idea of the song is life on a planet which is inhabited by kind and cordial people. They believe in miracles and all that is going on there is a miracle. There are no lonely people and drab existence; major ingredients of happy life on planet Solayoh are faith, hope and charity. The mission of the planet is to give the energy of Love and Inspiration,” the press service of Belteleradiocompany says.

It is to be noted that Alyona Lanskaya won the national song contest performing “Rhythm of Love”. But in accordance with regulations, a participant has the right to choose another song before heads of participating countries’ delegations meet. This year the meeting is to be held on March 16-18.

Lanskaya will perform in the first semi-final on May 14. It will be opened by Denmark and the qualification round will finish with the performance of the representative of Moldova. Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Holland, Ireland, Lithuania, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, Russia and Ukraine will also perform and vote in the first semifinal.

It will become known under which number the Belarusian participant of the contest Alena Lanskaya will perform in the first semifinal on May 14 at the meeting of the heads of delegations of the member countries in March, when the producers of the show determine the sequence of the performances of the contestants in each semifinal.

This year the organizers of “Eurovision” abandoned the traditional drawing and will allocate the participants in the order which they think is necessary. This will allow avoiding, for example, the performance of two lyrical performers in a row.

The Eurovision 2013 contest will take place on May 14-18 in Malmo, Sweden. TV Channel “Belarus 1” will broadcast the two semifinals and the final live. 39 countries will be the participants of the 58th International Song Contest.
