Kidnapped by Nigerian pirates at liberty

Siarhei Kurhanovich, a Belarusian-born man kidnapped by pirates off Nigeria’s coast in October, has been released together with his fellow sailors, Andrey Savinykh, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told reporters at a briefing in Minsk.
“We welcome the successful end to this incident and will be glad to welcome him on our land,” he said.
Ship Bourbon Liberty 249 was attacked by pirates (or militants) in mid-October not far from the Nigerian port of Pennington. The criminals kidnapped seven sailors and escaped.
