Statkevich's Road

The road of former presidential candidate and today’s political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich passes across the village of Liadno, where he was born, Baranavichi, where his father lives all by himself, streets and squares of Minsk, where he took the leading role and claimed responsibility for fighting for freedom and independence of Belarus, Germany, where his daughters live at present time… But “Statkevich’s road is not only a road to prison but a road to freedom,” his daughter Katsiaryna says.

Katsiaryna Statkevich, Viktar Statkevich, Ales Arystovich, Ales Stankevich, Vintsuk Viachorka acted in the film. Unique 1990s archives by Statkevich’s associates were used in the film along with Belsat TV archival footage.
