Syarhei Padsasonny

Syarhei Padasonny is a news presenter and Chief Editor of three-hour information program Belsat Studio.

He studied at Homiel University (Philology Faculty), worked as a teacher and university lecturer. But as Syarhei always dreamt of becoming a journalist, he entered the School of Journalism and later joined Belsat TV team.

He left Belarus in 2008 after being persecuted by the KGB. Syarhei writes articles for Polish media.

Apart from journalism, Syarhei specialises on literary studies. He published a book and a number of academic articles.

Syarhei presented his PhD thesis on Dostoyevsky’s works at Warsaw University.
