Ales Barazenka is a Belsat correspondent who has been covering the events in Ukraine since protests on Kyiv’s Maidan started.
He was born in1988 in Pinsk (Brest region). In 2006, he entered the Belarusian State University (Faculty of International Relations). But at the end of his first course Ales was expelled after participating in a flash-mob and spending three days in jail. Later he studied in Poland.
In late 2008, he was convicted over the ‘case of 14 and sentenced to one year of restriction of liberty. After his release, Ales Barazenka started contributing to Belsat TV.
